Position the glazing shim under the aluminium window frame corner or sill. The grooved surface grips concrete or masonry immediately — no slipping during setup.
Layer multiple shims to reach your exact target height. Mix different thicknesses (1–6mm) to achieve precise increments. The interlocking grooves keep the stack stable under load.
With shims in place, carefully lower and position the aluminium window frame into the opening. The shim stack supports the full frame weight while you make final positioning adjustments.
Check level and plumb with your spirit level. Once perfectly aligned, drill and fasten the frame. The shims bear the full load without compressing — your alignment stays locked in permanently.
